"White's stunning second crime novel to feature ex-cop and ex-PI Jackson Donne fulfills the promise of his debut..." Publisher's Weekly (Starred Review)
"Intricate plotting and nonstop action make this a nail-biting read from start to finish. White ... is a writer to watch." Library Journal
"Scenes of Donne’s mother’s decline, however, are knowing and movingly written, and the gritty New Jersey locale seems an ideal setting for portraying the evil that men do. . . Keep an eye on [White]."--Thomas Gaughan, Booklist
"White has learned early the art of the hard-boiled." Les Roberts, The Cleveland Plain Dealer
"White has created an appealing character in Donne and the plot flies between the events in the 1940s and explosions, kidnappings and murders in the present." Carole E. Barrowman, Milwaukee Journal Sentinal
"One of the best new crime writers to come out of the U.S. of A. Feel free to hate him." John Sullivan, Winnipeg Free Press

When One Man Dies (Three Rivers Press)
“An engrossing, evocative debut novel that will grab most readers from its opening sentences… fans of hard-hitting, uncompromising private investigators will hope that Donne ditches his college dreams and continues to pound the pavement.”" Publisher's Weekly (Starred Review)
"White manages the neat trick of respecting the genre's traditions while daring to nudge it toward something new and unexpected." Laura Lippman
"A unique and artful blend of the PI novel and the police procedural, with a story as deceptively simple as your first love and as fatal as your last car wreck...a terrific novel." James Crumley
"It's the great American private eye novel reborn for the 21st century, with a fast-moving, spare style that punches you in the gut at the same time it squeezes your heart." Duane Swierczynski
"When One Man Dies barrels straight out of the old school and swerves onto the highway that will take detective fiction where it's going next. Dave White has one hand on the wheel, the other on the gear shift, and his foot on the floor." Sean Doolittle
"Fast and funny, with plenty of classic action but a setting and character that are entirely new, Dave White is creating a winner with Jackson Donne." Michael Koryta
"WHEN ONE MAN DIES heralds the introduction of two astonishing new figures in the crime fiction world: New Jersey PI Jackson Donne, whose emotional journey will break your heart, and author Dave White, whose voice has the confidence and assurance many more established writers would kill for." Sarah Weinman
"Bracing stuff." Charles Ardai
"An awesome debut . . . forgetaboutit." Charlie Stella
"Very much recommended. Even though there's no monkey in it." John Rickards

Very funny, but I would like to hear your thoughts on either how much the yankees suck, or how the new yankee stadium sucks.
Thanks!
The new Yankee Stadium is awesome. The Yankees currently suck, but may improve to not suck.
Where have you been Davey? It's been almost a week since your last post? What gives?
Sorry, been busy. Expect a review of Star Trek and/or LOST season finale tonight.
